Nordlaks Produkter AS handles harvesting, packing and processing in the Nordlaks Group, co-located with the corporate headquarter on Børøya in Hadsel Municipial. The harvesting plant has a yearly capacity of approximately 75,000 tonnes and handles all the fish from Nordlaks Havbruk. In addition, we handle fish for other farmers in the region. The fillet factory can process approximately 7,000 tonnes of raw material yearly and produce fillet products for Nordlaks Sales. The industrial facility also has a biotech department for processing of residual raw material and a box factory for EPS boxes. Nordlaks Oppdrett (farming operations) is an experienced operator of fish farms. Today, the company supplies operations services to the fish farming industry. We supply our services with our land bases in northern Nordland county and mid and southern Troms county as the basis.

Nordlaks Havbruk (farming) produces atlantic salmon at a total of 39 sites in northern Nordland and mid and southern Troms. In addition to traditional sites, we also produce our salmon in the ocean farm “Jostein Albert”, which is located at an exposed site outside the Hadseløya island. Nordlaks Smolt AS has its head office at Innhavet and employs just under 50 people. The company owns and operates 3 smolt plants. These are located at Innhavet in Hamarøy municipality, Mørsvik in Sørfold municipality and Nusfjord in Flakstad municipality.
The facility at Innhavet is a RAS facility, the other two facilities are flow-through facilities. The company produced approx. 3,000 tonnes of smolt to internal and external customers in 2021. The company is growing and will expand the existing facilities significantly in the coming years.
Both the facility at Innhavet and in Mørsvik have their own power plants connected to the facility, and produce parts of the electricity that is consumed themselves.

The Lofoten Aquarium is located in beautiful Kabelvåg. The Lofoten Aquarium gives you a unique deep dive into important Norwegian coastal history and here you can also study most fish species, shellfish and sea animals in Lofoten’s exciting underwater world with 23 small and large aquariums, seal basin, otter pond and much more. The Lofoten Aquarium is also a display facility for aquaculture with a salmon aquarium, display cages for salmon and a completely new interactive exhibition about Norwegian aquaculture. Here you also get an insight into the future aquaculture industry and can take a closer look at the development project Havfarm (Ocean Farm), through an 8 meter long model that stands on land. If you want to learn more about the aquaculture industry, we collaborate with the experience company XXLofoten, which takes guests on an experience trip with RIB out to a modern fish farm at sea.

Aquaculture in Vesterålen (AiV) is a knowledge and experience center for Norwegian aquaculture, where you can get a unique insight into the production of salmon in one of Norway’s most beautiful regions. Join a RIB trip to the fish farm, get a tour of our beautiful exhibitions that show the history of the fish farming industry from the pioneer period in the 50s until today’s high-tech operation, among other things through a VR experience. The visit ends with a delicious taste of smoked salmon from our own production. Aquaculture in Vesterålen is located in the village Blokken in Sortland municipality. It takes approx. 30 minutes by car from Sortland. You can get to Blokken by car or private boat, and it is a short way to both Sortland and Stokmarknes if you come by sea.
